Description

The two makeup air units in the first floor kitchen mechanical room of the Caroline Center are past their useful life cycle and in need of replacement. They have been retrofitted and patched together over the years due to unavailability of parts from the manufacturer. The solution to this can be unit replacement, or an approved, engineered solution that will properly address the current issues, and supply the required fresh air for each zone. Engineered solutions can use the existing plenums, AHU housings, etc. as necessary. The contractor will be responsible for the following: 1. Removal and disposal of any leftover, unused equipment or parts associated with the changeover 2. Recovery/removal of all refrigerant in the old systems 3. Reconnection to any existing building control systems or alarms 4. Connection to existing building systems such as pipes, ducts, etc. as necessary to facilitate the new installation 5. Installation of new or retrofitting/reconditioning of existing air handling units, including all necessary valves, supports, etc. 6. All associated control wiring and connections necessary for installation and operation of new system 7. Line voltage power supply and disconnect will be supplied by the college, per electrical requirements provided by contractor 8. Factory start up and verification of proper operation after installation of all equipment is complete
