Region 9 Architect And Engineer Short Selection List

The Forest Service utilizes the Short Selection List to award AE contracts, valued at less than the simplified acquisition threshold, in all states included within the Forest Service Eastern Region including the states of, Illinois, Indiana, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wisconsin. Although the primary user of the list will be the Forest Service, any USDA office located in the Forest Service Eastern Region boundaries may use the list. The shortlist will contain all of the unexpired submissions from previous announcements and all qualified, interested AE firms that respond to this announcement. Examples of the types of work that may be awarded using the short selection list include: bridge and large culvert design, road and trail bridge inspections, culvert inspections, low volume road design, design of small warehouses and offices, historic preservation, rehabs to improve energy efficiency and safety concerns, energy audits and studies, design of repairs to small dams and impoundments, design of photovoltaic and other renewable energy systems, LEED consulting, design of HVAC systems, design of electrical systems and lighting, water and waste water system design, performance of sanitary inspections for water systems, safety inspections for bridges and dams, construction inspection, drafting services, surveying (construction and property), geotechnical investigation, and environmental (RCRA, CECRLA, CWA, etc.) investigations, reviews, inventories, audits and coordination of RCRA and other waste disposal.
