Reconstruction of Sundown Road (CR 46) Bridge over Rondout Creek

For bridge rehabilitation work on the Sundown Bridge Replacement (BIN 3346720) in the Town of Denning, Ulster County, NY. For a bridge replacement construction project on Sundown Road, County Route 46, in the Town of Denning. Work includes the removal of the existing steel truss bridge and installation of a redundant steel girder superstructure with a composite reinforced concrete deck. Rehabilitation of the existing abutments will be necessary for the new superstructure. A one-lane temporary bridge shall be constructed and in-place prior to removing the existing superstructure. The project shall be constructed in accordance with the attached plans titled “Reconstruction of Sundown Road Bridge over Rondout Creek”. The proposed project involves the following: Removal of a 122.5’ single span steel truss superstructure. Installation single lane temporary bridge. Rehabilitation of existing abutments. Construction of a new 122.5’ span multi-girder steel superstructure with composite reinforced concrete deck.
