Traffic Signal and Roadway Improvement Design

The consultant will prepare Traffic Signal Design and Roadway Improvement Plans for the intersection of Del Prado Boulevard and Averill Boulevard and the possibility of additional traffic signal designs and plans in the future. There will also be the possibility of future traffic signal warrant analysis performed at intersections in the City’s jurisdiction. For the Del Prado Boulevard and Averill Boulevard intersection the proposed mast arm supported traffic signals will replace the current stop condition at the intersection. Plans shall include geometric improvement designs for the subject intersection and the Consultant will provide electronic files of the designed roadway improvements to incorporate into the signalization plans. It is expected that intersection modifications will be necessary to accommodate pedestrian movements across Del Prado Boulevard. This scope of work includes modifications to sidewalks, ADA compliant ramps and medians as necessary to meet City, Lee County and FDOT criteria.
