Description | Reference Number 0000332183 Colorado Mesa University is seeking bids from qualified mechanical, electrical and plumbing contractors to remove and replace five heat pumps in the Caf dining area. The five heat pumps slated for replacement are 13 years old and are in various states of disrepair. Descriptions, size, model and serial numbers for each of the heat pumps is provided in the solicitaion document. Question Acceptance Deadline 10/13/2023 at 1:00 PM MT Questions are submitted online -- Email questions are required to be submitted to: Donovan Harwell, CMU Purchasing Specialist/Buyer at dlharwell@coloradomesa.edu Bonding Requirements - Bid Bond 5 % Estimated Construction Cost: $138,000 -Anticipated General Contractor Start December 15, 2023 -Anticipated Construction Start/Finish January 12, 2024 Removing and replacing heat pumps will require existing ceiling grid, speakers, fire alarm strobes, annunciators, and fire suppression systems that interfere with removal and re-installation to be removed/disconnected, stored and re-installed. Remove and replace five heat pumps that range in size from 3.5 tons to 15 tons in CMU's main campus dining facility located on the first floor of the University Center. Work will include removing, storing and re-installing ceiling tile and ceiling grid, disconnecting heat pumps from duct work, condensate piping, geo exchange piping, medium and low voltage electrical, removing and reinstalling firm alarm horns and strobes, interior lighting, fire suppression systems, speakers, and wireless access points, where necessary to provide adequate room to remove existing units and replace with new. |
