Description | As of July 25, 2023, the apparent low bidder is LJ Construction but is not awarded, amount is not available. All bid proposals must be on file with West Jackson County Utility District prior to the opening time as stated above. All bid proposals must be sealed and clearly marked on the outside of the envelope with the Project Name, Bid Date, Company Name, Company Address, and all applicable state license and certificate numbers. The Owner is NOT responsible for bids which are mailed to the wrong address or which arrive in the mail after the designated bid opening time. Bids may be delivered in person to the Owner's office prior to the bid opening at the location listed above. The project will be awarded to the lowest and best bidder. However, the Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or to waive any informality. For bids equaling or exceeding $50,000.00, bidder must indicate his Certificate of Responsibility number on the outside of the sealed proposal as required by the Mississippi Law. Additional information and assistance regarding this bid opportunity, the MS Procurement Technical Assistance Program, and local contract procurement center may be found online. Minority and women's business enterprises are solicited to bid on this contract as prime contractors and are encouraged to make inquiries regarding potential subcontracting opportunities and equipment, material and/or supply needs. Per the Mississippi Law, MS Code 31-3-21(3); any bid submitted by a non-resident contractor which does not include the non-resident contractor's current state law pertaining to such state's treatment of non-resident contractors, shall be rejected and not considered for award. If no such law exists in the non-resident contractor's state, then the non-resident contractor may provide statement to that effect. No bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. |
