Landmark Fire Station - City of Alexandria

Fire Station 208, built in 1976, is currently 44 years old and will be at the end of its expected life cycle for a fire station at the time the planned construction of its replacement (FY 2028) is anticipated. The current facility is not adequate to accommodate the current specifications of an up-to-date fire station and the site is not ideally located to provide optimal service coverage to the community nor is the current site large enough to fulfil the needs of a larger fire station. The project is included in the City of Alexandria's FY 2023-2032 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of June 27, 2022, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified.
