I-65 NB and SB Lebanon Truck Parking

Bids shall be taken from Prime Contractors pre-qualified by the Public Works Certification Board in the following classification(s): 1542.02-Commercial Buildings (Office, Stores, Restaurants) and 1611.01- Concrete Construction of Roads & Curbing or 1711.01 Concrete Construction. The Specified construction period is 730 calendar days. The State of Indiana reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Project Goal of 7% MBE, 5% WBE and 3% IVOSB. PROJECT NUMBER: 06002001-22-060-C1 It is PSI's understanding that Janssen and Spaans Engineering is gathering information with regards to the proposed reconstruction of two rest areas along I-65. The I-65 North Bound Truck Parking and the I-65 South Bound Rest Area are located approximately 7 to 8 miles north of Lebanon, Indiana, respectively. The project includes demolition of the existing structures and removal of the parking lot and on-ramp/offramp pavements. Further, the project includes construction of new trucker restrooms and approximately 75 truck parking spaces at each site. Project Location: Highway 65, Lebanon, Indiana. 1. Drawing Set # 1: Toilet Out Buildings # 1 & # 2 and Dumpster - North Bound 1) All work within the building perimeter and the associated exterior perimeter of the building required for footing installation. 2) Exterior and interior masonry wall construction, Glue Laminated wood beams and laminated wood deck, Sheet metal panels/soffits and trim, Standing seam metal roof, Concrete slabs on grade, Interior finishes. 3) All plumbing, mechanical and electrical work within the building perimeter and remote air handling units. 4) Power distribution between Toilet Out Buildings # 1 & # 2. 2. Drawing Set # 2: Service Building - North Bound: 1) All work within the building perimeter and the associated exterior perimeter of the building required for footing installation. 2) Exterior wall construction, Laminated structural beams and laminated wood deck, Sheet metal panels/soffits and trim, Standing seam metal roof. 3) All plumbing, mechanical and electrical work within the building perimeter. 3. Drawing Set # 5: Site - North Bound: 1) Traffic Maintenance: Install closure signs on all Rest Area signs along I-65. Coordinate with INDOT TMC to show the truck spots as unavailable. Post advanced warning signs of the closure two weeks prior. 2) Removals: Install appropriate erosion control before beginning work. All existing infrastructure is to be removed. Remove all buildings, ancillary structures, pavement, drainage structures, pipes and culverts. Culverts on the ramps are to be left in place. Remove existing light poles including foundations. Remove existing cameras and poles including foundations. Remove the existing traffic monitoring equipment. Store the cameras, poles and traffic monitoring equipment for reuse. Remove existing wastewater treatment plant, lift station and force main in accordance with IDEM standards. Trees outside the construction limits shall not be disturbed or removed. 3) Grading: Strip topsoil from site and store for future use. Rough grade site to new grading plan. Excavate detention pond and place liner. 4) Inground Work: Install all drainage features and utilities including power, telecommunications, sanitary sewer and water lines 5) Paving: Install concrete paving in the truck parking lots. Construct sidewalks and curbs. Lighting and ITS: Install new light poles and luminaires. Standard INDOT poles are to be used in the truck parking lot. Reinstall the cameras and traffic monitoring equipment on new foundations. 6) Finish grading and seeding: Finish grade the site and place the topsoil in the planting areas. Seed all other bare areas not indicated in Drawing Set # 5. 7) Commissioning Check all mechanical and electrical features for proper operations. 6.
