Description

Addition of an irrigation system to an existing football field at Glenarden Community Center. Justification: Irrigation is necessary to reduce erosion on heavily trafficked areas, such as this highly popular sports field. The 2017 Land Preservation, Parks and Recreation Plan (LPPRP) recommends improving 10 rectangular fields to Level of Service 3. The field at Glenarden Community Center is in Formula 2040 Service Area 4. This area has an existing service gap of two rectangular fields at Level of Service 3, as identified by the LPPRP. The project is included in the county's 2023-2028 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of December 8, 2022, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified.* *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
