Description

Construct backflow preventers/check valves at existing storm drain outfall pipes in the Borough of Moonachie, Borough of Little Ferry and Borough of Carlstadt in Bergen County New Jersey. The purpose of this project is to install backflow preventers on existing storm drain outfalls to prevent the backflow of water into the municipal storm drain system. The project also includes sediment and debris removal at the existing storm drain outfalls to facilitate the installation of the backflow preventers and sediment removal downstream of the outfalls as depicted on the construction plans along with selective maintenance and repair of outfalls and headwall replacement as depicted on the plans and in accordance with specifications.
