Description | Barnhart-Reese Construction is requesting bids from qualified subcontractors (licensed contractor with A or B Classification(s) or C Specialty and D license for scope noted within the Bid Packages) for: Pacific View Elementary School (Lease-Leaseback) Whole Site Modernization (WSM) - GMP No. 1 and Joint Use Field (JUF) - GMP No. 2 On behalf of the San Diego Unified School District The project’s contract numbers, scopes of work, estimates, and durations are as follows: A. WSM-GMP No. 1 Contract Number is CC22-0139-52.A1 1. Project estimate is between $13,782,750 and $15,958,975. 2. The anticipated schedule for the WSM is December 2022 to January of 2025. 3. The Whole Site Modernization includes the renovation of existing buildings 100 thru 400 and card reader work to Library Building 500. The administration portion of Building 100 will renovate the existing area of the building and construct a new 1,800 square foot addition. Other upgrades in Building 100 will include restrooms, classrooms, food service and auditorium improvements. Improvements to Buildings 200, 300 and 400 will include the conversion of three classrooms to two kindergarten spaces in Building 200 and renovations to the restrooms, support spaces and remaining classrooms in these buildings. The seven existing portables on site will be demolished and removed to make room for site work improvements. Site improvements include hard surface upgrades, play equipment, shade structures and a new parking lot and drop off area for the school. DISABLED VETERAN BUSINESS ENTERPRISE PARTICIPATION PROGRAM: Pursuant to resolution in support of Service Disabled Veterans Owned Businesses (SDVOB) and Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBE) approved on May 10, 2011 by the Board of Education, Barnhart-Reese Construction is required to satisfy a minimum DVBE participation percentage of at least three percent (3%) for this project. In compliance with this program, the bidder shall satisfy all requirements enumerated in the bid package. GOALS FOR EBE & DVBE PARTICIPATION: 50% EBE / 5% DVBE BARNHART-REESE CONSTRUCTION PREQUALIFICATION: Prequalifications for Barnhart-Reese Construction are due prior to the bid due date. Completed prequalification forms must be submitted prior to bid due date to Irma Arce iarce@debconstruct.com. District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding process. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of 90 days after the date set for the opening of bids.
