Description

As of March 6, 2023, there were no bids received. No definite date for the rebid. Sealed Bids on forms prepared by the Engineer will be received by the Pike County Board of Commissioners, Office of the County s Chief Clerk,, for the Pike County Jail Complex Well #3 Drilling and Development in accordance with the Drawings, Specifications, and other Contract Documents prepared by MHE Engineering, D.P.C., 111 Wheatfield Drive, Suite 1, Milford, Pennsylvania 18337. The Information for Bidders, Drawings, Specifications and other Contract Documents may be reviewed and obtained at the offices of MHE Engineering, D.P.C., on Mondays through Fridays between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm, at 111 Wheatfield Drive, Suite 1, Milford, Pennsylvania, (570) 296-2765, becoming available Digital copies via flash drives are also available upon written request to the Engineer and upon pre-payment of the sum of $50.00 made payable MHE Engineering, D.P.C. Documents will be forwarded via Federal Express for an additional fee made payable to MHE Engineering, D.P.C. of $50.00 ($20.00 Handling Fee and $30.00 Shipping Fee). Shipping fee will be waived if recipient s Federal Express account is utilized. Only those persons whose name and address are on the official record of having obtained the Contract Documents will be permitted to bid and issued the Addendums, if any. Complete hardcopy sets of bidding documents are available upon special request for an additional fee. Each bid shall be accompanied by an acceptable form of Bid Guarantee in an amount equal to at least five (5) percent of the amount of the Bid payable to Pike County as a guarantee that if the Bid is accepted, the Bidder will, within fifteen (15) days after the award of the Contract, execute the Contract and file acceptable Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds and Certificate(s) of Insurance. OWNERS RIGHTS RESERVED: Pike County, hereinafter called the Owner, reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive any informality or technicality in any Bid in the interest of the Owner. STATEMENT OF NON-COLLUSION: Bidders on Contracts are required to execute a non-collusive bidding affidavit. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirement as to conditions of employment to be observed and the minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act No. 442, dated August 15, 1961, as amended August 9, 1963 (Act No. 342) and any regulations pursuant thereto. No bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Owner shall be exempt from payment of sales and compensating use taxes of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and cities and counties on all materials supplied to the Owner pursuant to this contract.
