SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE Abate Lead Paint in Stairwells - Building 28 Lexington VA Medical Center, KY PURPOSE: This is not a request for proposals, bids, or quotes. This notice is purely to find capable contractors who can meet this requirement and assess whether a set-aside is warranted and, if warranted, then the type of set-aside. This notice does not represent a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or award a contract. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for information received because of this announcement. The Government reserves the right to use information provided by respondents for any purpose deemed necessary and legally appropriate. Any organization responding to this notice should ensure that its response is complete and sufficiently detailed to allow the Government to determine the organization s qualifications to perform the work. Government is under no obligation to acknowledge receipt or provide feedback to respondents with respect to any information submitted. After a review of the responses received, a presolicitation synopsis and solicitation may be published in sam.gov Contract Opportunities. REQUIREMENT: Government is seeking interested and capable construction firm is to provide all labor, tools, materials, and expertise to complete Project No. 596-23-103 Abate Lead Paint in Stairwells Building 28. Construction disciplines anticipated include general construction, lead paint abatement, third party air monitoring, infection control, interior plaster repair, and interior painting. All finished walls and ceilings in both three-story stairwells shall have a like new appearance. Only one (1) three-story stairwell can be closed and worked on at a time due to egress requirements. See Attached draft Statement of Work (SOW) for details. The anticipated NAICS code is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction and has a small business size standard of $45.0 million. Any interested contractor, please provide your company s name, point-of-contact person(s), contact information, SAM.gov unique entity identifier (UEI), and anything to help the government assess your potential capability to meet this anticipated potential contract action. We welcome and encourage questions and/or comments about the draft SOW and anything else you d want to see to mitigate any ambiguity during the solicitation period. Be advised the SPECIFICATION documents and drawings are still under development but at a minimum construction contractor s site supervisor/superintendent is required to be OSHA-30 certified and all workers on the jobsite must be OSHA-10 certified.
