Description

The Newton County Water and Sewerage Authority (Owner) is seeking Proposals from qualified firms interested in providing Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) services for a project known as the A Scott Emmons Water Reclamation Facility Phase 2 Expansion in Newton County, Georgia (the Project). The Project generally consists of the expansion of the existing water reclamation facility from its current capacity of 1.25 MGD to 2.50 MGD. The major items of work will include construction of two (2) new SBR basins, two (2) new digester basins, a new equalization basin, a new tertiary filtration unit, and all associated pumps, piping, hardware, controls, electrical improvements, and all associated work required for a complete and functional 2.50 MGD water reclamation facility. It is expected that CMAR will provide Preconstruction and Construction Phase Services in collaboration with the Engineer and Owner. The Project scope, design standards and performance requirements are described in more detail in Attachment D (Design Documents and Specifications). GWES will serve as the Project Designer and provide all engineering, design, and construction phase engineering support services to the Owner throughout the duration of the Project. The Owner anticipates being supported by Carter & Sloop as its representative. The total budget for Preconstruction and Construction Phase CMAR services for the proposed facility is currently $20,000,000. Licensing and registration.
