Description | Deadline for Inquiries 3:00 PM, MST, 4/20/2022 Question Submission Close Date 4/19/2022 12:00 AM MST ASU is seeking SOQs to provide CMAR services for the construction High Pressure Materials Research Lab with approximately 3,000 sq. ft. at ISTB 2 in Tempe. There will be no Pre-Submittal Meeting. This project will be located in the Interdisciplinary Science and Technology Building (ISTB) 2, 850 S. McAllister Avenue, Tempe, AZ 85281. Refer to Exhibit A - ISTB 2 Building Plan. ii. Site Background Information a. The Facility for Open Research in a Compressed Environment (FORCE) is intended to become a national resource for knowledge and expertise in high pressure materials research. It will be made openly available to users from other academic institutions, national labs, and industry through operation as a user facility within the Navrotsky Eyring Center for Materials of the Universe (MotU). It will conduct basic research using large volume high pressure apparatus, provide student/postdoc education and training, and sponsor workshops and symposia on high pressure research. All spaces are controlled with respect to airflow, pressurization, contamination control, temperature, humidity, lighting, vibration and in the case of the clean room spaces, particle size/counts and air flow dynamics such as velocity, direction, uniformity and pressurization. b. The building operates and is utilized by researchers 24 hours per day 365 days per year. Caution and extreme care must be taken at all times for all work to avoid interrupting research. |
