| Description | Furnish and install a new polymer feed system and a new sodium permanganate feed system at the Water Authority’s Tin Can Hollow Water Treatment Plant. The General/Mechanical work includes demolition and removal of the existing chemical feed systems, furnishing and installation of new sodium permanganate bulk chemical tanks and piping and new polymer feed equipment, pumps and piping. The Electrical Work consists of furnishing and installing all required wires and raceways to support the installation of the new NaMnO4 storage/overflow tanks, polymer mixing system, polymer feed pumps and NaMnO4 feed pumps. Wire installation shall include terminations at each end of the cable. Existing power distribution panels shall be modified with the rearrangement and/or addition of new branch circuit breakers to support the added loads. A new chemical loading station control panel will need to be furnished and installed on the exterior of the water treatment plant. The electrical contractor will also be responsible to furnish and install new tank ultrasonic level sensors and tank leak detectors, all wired back to the existing SCADA.
