Description

Furnishing all labor, equipment, supplies, materials, transportation, fuel, power and water, providing environmental protection, and performing all operations in connection with the Caloosahatchee Regional Park Shoreline Stabilization. The installation of approximately 5,700 cubic yards of riprap revetment along 3,235 linear feet shoreline stabilization. The riprap will reduce the potential for erosion along the shoreline as a result of continuous wave action from passing water vessels. The proposed activities involve removing scrubs and bushes along the riprap foot print and the creation of a 3:1 graded slope; select vegetation such as native trees will remain within the proposed riprap placed around the vegetation. The riprap shall be placed over a layer of woven geotextile fabric with a 1-foot thick layer of crushed stone on top of the fabric. 3-Foot diameter boulders shall be placed at the water ward edge of the shoreline with a mixture of 12 inch to 24 inch rocks laid at a depth of 2 feet up to the top of the revetment. The work shall be conducted water ward from a barge. All necessary permit requirements and erosion methods shall be required and are responsibility of the CONTRACTOR unless otherwise stated.
