Description

Notice is hereby given that the South Bay Union School District of San Diego, California, acting by and through its Governing Board, hereinafter referred to as the District, is seeking sealed bids from qualified construction contractors for construction of the following public-works project License Requirement: A- General Engineering or C27- Landscaping Estimated bid cost: $130,000.00 + $10,000.00 Allowance Contract Dates: 8/1/2022 - 12/31/2022 On-site construction dates: 8/1/2022 - 12/31/22 This project will consist of grading and spreading of existing dirt left from the construction of the fire lane. The contractor will install a new automated irrigation system with eleven (11) valves and Hunter PGP-ADJ ROTOR sprinklers. There will be a 23,040 sq ft track for students to jog or walk. The field will be 40,000 sq ft of Tiff 94 Bermuda grass. This project requires an A license or C-27 license. This is a public works project. Contractors should use prevailing wage to determine the labor costs. Contractors and subcontractors must have a DIR registration number. Each bid must be submitted with a Bid Bond executed by the bidder and Surety Company, or certified check, or cashier's check or cash, in an amount equal to 10% of the bid. The successful bidder must provide a Performance Bond and a separate Payment Bond, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price, and each issued by a California-admitted surety. The District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of 90 days after the date set for the opening of bids.
