Hercules Village Area - Roadway Paving and Reconstruction

Generally consists of concrete, roadway paving / reconstruction and utility improvements, where applicable; to Cheesequake Road, Haig Street, Foch Street, Lena Street, Pershing Avenue and Bailey Place within the Hercules Village Area located in the Borough of Sayreville. The project also includes proposed sanitary sewer improvements that will be constructed within Borough rights-of-way and across private properties within existing / acquired utility easements. The work involved with these improvements includes the maintenance and protection of traffic; cutting and removal of existing trees, installation of new street trees; site clearing and grading operations for the proposed sanitary sewer improvements; installation of approximately 605 lineal feet of 12" / 15" / 18" RCP of various classes of storm sewer pipe reaches; construction of various types of new storm sewer inlet / manhole structures; reconstruction of existing storm sewer inlet / manhole structures; extending existing roof leader drains to new curb; relocate existing fire hydrant including all appurtenances, reset existing water / sanitary sewer valve boxes to grade; reset existing water service curb boxes and sanitary sewer cleanouts to finished grade; installation of approximately 350 lineal feet +/- of new 8" PVC SDR-35 pipe reaches; construction of 4 precast concrete standard, drop and doghouse type manhole structures with standard castings; abandoning of existing sanitary sewer line; removal and replacement of existing deteriorated sanitary sewer manhole castings; resetting of existing sanitary sewer manhole castings; removal of approximately 3,250 lineal feet +/- of various types of existing granite block / concrete curbs; removal of approximately 3,800 square feet +/- of various types of concrete sidewalks, slabs, driveways and/or aprons; construction of approximately 5,000 lineal feet +/- of new standard Borough concrete curb, approximately 900 square feet +/- of new standard Borough concrete sidewalk and approximately 2,600 square feet +/- of new standard Borough reinforced concrete driveways and aprons; furnishing and installation of cast-in-place handicapped sidewalk ramp delineation; restoration of hot mix asphalt and stone driveways; cutting / removal of approximately 8,700 square yards +/- of existing roadway asphalt pavement; the installation of dense graded aggregate base course, if and where ordered; installation of approximately 3,100 tons +/- of hot mix asphalt base course material, resurfacing the entire roadways with approximately 900 tons +/- of hot mix asphalt surface course material; application of pavement stripes / markings (lines and symbols); furnishing and installation of topsoil and sod as required; furnishing and installation of topsoil, seed and stabilization matting as required; easement / right-of-way restoration; and all other preparation, restoration and associated work in accordance with the Contract Documents.
