Description

In general, the work consists of, but is not limited to furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, disposal, and incidentals required for the following: replacing approximately 4,933 linear feet of 8-in existing sanitary sewer with PVC sanitary sewer; cleaning, inspection, and cured-in-place pipe lining of 3,536 linear feet of 8-in existing sanitary sewer; replacing 19 sanitary sewer precast concrete manholes; lining 29 existing precast concrete sanitary sewer manholes; replacing or cured-in-place pipe lining of 179 existing sanitary sewer laterals; installing approximately 10,021 linear feet of 8-in ductile iron water main (material furnished by Owner); replacing 181 existing copper water laterals; installing 11 fire hydrants (material furnished by Owner); traffic control; pavement restoration; maintenance of flow; abandonment-in-place or hauling and disposal of existing utilities, including asbestos cement pipe. Clarification Deadline: 9/8/2022 4:00 PM Each Bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of ten percent of the Bid. Bidders may not withdraw their Bids for a period of sixty days after the actual date of the opening of the Bids except as provided in the Instructions to Bidders. The Successful Bidder must furnish a 100 percent Performance Bond and a 100 percent Payment Bond with a surety company acceptable to the Owner upon award of the Contract using the forms contained in the Contract Documents. Complete instructions for filing Bids are included in the Instructions to Bidders. Wage rates for this Project are subject to the prevailing minimum wage rates as per the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry, Bureau of Labor Law Compliance. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all Bids if deemed to be in its best interest.
