Description | The High School project will occur at 2104 S. Grand Avenue, Mt. Pleasant, Iowa 52641. ESSER III federal funding is being applied to the project. Federal requirements must be followed including but not limited to Davis Bacon, prevailing wage. The above scope of work will be bid as a single bid package. The project includes the following: new chiller and associated equipment; chilled water piping; cooling coils for existing AHU-5 to air condition the gym; and cooling coils and fan for existing AHU-6 to air condition the CTE area. Some new ductwork, duct insulation and duct cleaning associated with AHU-5 and AHU-6 is included. Replace two exhaust fans' motors, upgrade/add miscellaneous controls and VFDs. Replace 3-way valves with 2-way valves on chilled water lines at five (5) existing AHUs. Owner will issue an authorization letter and tax exemption certificate to the contractor and/or subcontractors for the purchase of building materials, supplies, and equipment to be incorporated into the work, on this project only. DO NOT INCLUDE THIS SALES TAX ON YOUR BID FORM. Bid security in the amount of five percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instruction to Bidders. The successful bidder shall be required to provide performance and payment bonds, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract Price. It is the intent of the Owner to award a contract or multiple contracts to the lowest responsible, responsive bidder provided the bid has been submitted in accordance with the bidding requirements. The Owner reserves the right to waive informalities or irregularities. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids. |
