Description

(DEI) Reading School District (RSD) A Bid shall be rejected unless accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total of the Base Bid. Bid Security shall be in the form of a certified check or bank cashiers check payable to Owner or a Bid Bond in the form set forth herein, naming as Obligee, the Owner. A performance bond at 100 percent of the Contract Sum, conditioned upon the faithful performance of the Contract in accordance with the plans, specifications, and conditions of the Contract. Such bond shall solely for the protection of the Owner which awarded said contract. A payment bond at 100 percent of the Contract Sum. Such bond shall be solely for the protection of claimants supplying labor or materials to the Successful Bidder, its contractor(s) or to any of its Subcontractors, in the prosecution of the work provided for in such Contract and shall be conditioned for the prompt payment of all such material furnished or labor supplied or performed in the prosecution of the Work. Labor or materials shall include public utility services and reasonable rentals of equipment, but only for periods when the equipment rented is actually used at the site. Federal Davis-Bacon Prevailing wage rates will apply to this project. The Contractor and its subcontractors shall comply with the provisions, duties, obligations, remedies, and penalties of the Federal Davis-Bacon Act, Approved March 3, 1931, 40 U.S.C. 3141- 3148, as amended and supplemented which is incorporated herein by reference as if fully set forth herein. The general prevailing minimum wage rates, as determined by the Secretary of Labor and Industry shall be paid for each craft or classification of all workmen needed to perform work on the Project during the term hereof for the locality in which the work is to be performed.
