AE Correct GU HVAC & Clinical Flow

Project will renovate approximately 7,400 square feet of the GU space and surrounding areas, replace HVAC and other utility systems, and other deficiencies in the limits of work. The areas to be renovated are located on the third floor of the Ralph H. Johnson Veteran’s Medical Center and are identified in Attachment H.1 and Attachment H.2. The project will provide compliant procedure rooms to decompress operating rooms for ambulatory procedures and will address waiting area deficiencies by consolidating with ACC/GI waiting rooms. The project will include temporary HVAC considerations. The project will require phasing to enable minimal impact to operations. The 2021 Facility Condition Assessment’s to be addressed include: #339652 Engineering Control System (Pneumatic Points) ($200,000), and #339595 Fire Sprinkler/Pump ($200,000). The A/E is to include Schematics, Design Development, and Construction Documents for design review meetings and final RTA and electronic files for both specifications and drawings. Also included as part of contract are construction cost estimates, all required site investigations, site visits and construction period services.
