Description | This project includes safety improvements along a one-mile stretch of Main Street (CR533) in Manville Borough. The improvements include but are not limited to paving, curbing, sidewalk, ADA ramps, striping, signage, lighting, drainage and traffic signal upgrades. We value the integrity of the procurement process, and due to the circumstances, the bid opening will be conducted via Live-Stream from the County Commissioner's Meeting Room. You can access the Live-Stream from the County's homepage at the prevailing date and time stated in this Notice to Bidders. During the bid opening process, the bidders will be announced as will bid amounts. Also, the bid tabulation will be posted, as always, to the Purchasing webpage once available. Bids shall be delivered in sealed envelopes and addressed to Melissa A. Kosensky, Purchasing Agent, County Administration Building, Purchasing Division- 3rd Floor, 20 Grove Street, Somerville, New Jersey 08876, clearly marked on the outside with the contract name and number, bearing the name and address of the bidder on the outside. Bidder shall submit with the bid a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total price bid, but not in excess of $20,000.00, payable unconditionally to Somerset County Treasurer, along with a Certificate (Consent of Surety) with Power of Attorney for full amount of bid price from a Surety Company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey and that said Surety will furnish a Performance and Payment Bond in amounts of 100% of successful bidder's contract. Any Bid Addenda will be issued on the County website at www.co.somerset.nj.us, and processed in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A: 11-23(c)(1). All interested respondents should check the website from now through bid opening. It is the sole responsibility of the respondent to be knowledgeable of all addenda related to this procurement. Bidders shall comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 and N.J.A.C. 17:27 et seq. This project includes a 17% Federal Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Goal. Compliance requirements for this DBE Goal are outlined in Federal Aid Attachment #1, found in the Supplemental Specifications and Special Provisions, Appendix E - Federal Aid Project Attachments. This project includes a Federal Trainee Goal of two (2) training positions with two (2) Trainees and 880 Trainee Hours. Compliance requirements for this Trainee Goal are outlined in Federal Aid Attachment #2, found in the Supplemental Specifications and Special Provisions, Appendix E - Federal Aid Project Attachments. |
