Description

The City of Salem, Facilities Services Division and Public Works Department are requesting bids for the services of a recognized Plumbing and Mechanical Contractor for performing routine and emergency plumbing maintenance and new installation at various City of Salem locations and existing City of Salem customers private plumbing where a licensed plumber is required. Work may include performing routine plumbing maintenance, repair, or installation of water service lines or new plumbing fittings such as pressure reducing valves from new or existing meter locations and connect to the customer's existing plumbing on an as needed basis. Contractor must be experienced in designing piping systems for a new construction and tenant improvements. These systems are to include potable water, heating, refrigeration systems, drains and sewer cleaning, and to be certified in backflow service and repairs experience in the following piping systems: copper, carbon steel, iron pipe and stainless steel (including med gas). The City shall advertise all Addenda on OregonBuys. Prospective bidders are solely responsible for checking OregonBuys to determine whether or not any Addenda have been issued. Bid documents will not be mailed to prospective Bidders. There is NO site orientation for this project. Bids must be submitted on the bid forms furnished to the bidders. Bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope plainly marked "Bid on PLUMBING CONTRACTOR OF RECORD--Bid No. 234029," and show the name and business address of the bidder. Completed bids must arrive electronically via Equity Hub's Bid Locker at website. The City will not accept bids submitted in any other matter. NO LATE BIDS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Your bid must be uploaded prior to the Closing Date and Time. The City strongly recommends that you give yourself sufficient time and at least ONE (1) day before the closing date and time to begin the uploading process and to finalize your submission. The City accepts no responsibility for non-receipt and/or delays in receipt caused by transmission and reception problems, equipment failure, or any other similar cause. Each bid is instantly sealed and will only be visible to the City after the closing date and time.
