Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Stations - Equipment and Related Services

The intent of adopting the roadmap is to expand charging for the City’s electric vehicle fleet, as well asproviding public charging, in yet to be determined public places. The City of Tucson intends to make the following initial purchase. Fifty-two (52) level 2 charging ports (26 dual port AC units). Six (6) DCFC ports (3 dual port DCFC units). The initial purchase is part of a longer-term transition to move to electric vehicles for the City’s fleet of vehicles. The proposal response shall include: Maintenance costs. Vandalism coverage. Response times to Scope of Work requirements included herein. Offeror’s response shall address how vehicle drivers will initiate charge sessions and any information they would need to provide (mileage, etc.) and options for how drivers would initiate a charge session (Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) card, via an app, etc.). Offerors shall demonstrate how the City can differentiate public vs. city charging activity. Offeror’s proposal shall outline the costs of network fees and connectivity for Wi-Fi and cellular. Any additional equipment that is required for network connectivity shall be outlined in Offeror’s RFP response.
