Description

Anderson County is seeking bids for the HURRICANE CREEK PUMP STATION MODIFICATIONS This project is being funded in part by the Appalachian Regional Commission and all federal ARC requirements will apply to the contract. Interested parties may request information at allpurchasing@andersoncountysc.org. This project consists of upgrading the existing pumps and electrical controls in the Hurricane Creek Pump Station. Adding a chemical feed line and eliminating the Charlie T's Pump Station with a new gravity sewer which includes a 120 LF jack and bore under Highway 76. This project is being funded in whole or in part by the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC). All federal ARC requirements will apply to the contract. All contractors and subcontractors are required to be registered in the federal System for Award Management (SAM). Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the President's Executive Order No. 11246 & Order No. 11375 which prohibits discrimination in employment regarding race, creed, color, sex, or national origin. Bidders must comply with Title VI if the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Davis-Bacon Act, the AntiKickback Act, the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act, and 40 CFR 33.240. 12. Bidders must also make positive efforts to use small and minority-owned business and to offer employment, training and contracting opportunities in accordance with Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract
