Description

This special provision consists of requirements and restrictions to maintain traffic on Wildcat Road in Clyde Township, St. Clair County. Location - Section 33 of T7N, R17E, Port Huron Twp., St. Clair County, Michigan 48060 Work is more particularly described as 23,000 Syds of Cold Milling, 5,800 tons of asphalt, 500 syds of concrete driveways, 625 tons of aggregate shoulder, trenching, pavement removal, pavement markings, monument boxes and miscellaneous items on Wildcat Road from M-136 to McIntyre Road and Strawberry Lane from West Water Road to Bakersfield Park. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a certified/cashier's check or Bid Bond on a solvent bank in the State of Michigan payable to the St. Clair County Road Commission or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid as guarantee that the successful bidder will enter into a contract. This work shall be in accordance with the current Michigan Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Construction, Standard Plans and Supplemental Specifications. Proposal blanks including supplemental specifications may be obtained on the Website. The SCCRC, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 USC 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Federally-assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of gender, disability, race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, waive irregularities in any bid and make award in any manner deemed in the best interest of the County.
