Recarbonation Tank Baffle Project

SCOPE OF WORK DESCRIPTION: The scope of work for this Project shall include, but not be limited to: 1. Procurement and installation of Serpentine Baffles in Recarbonation Basins 1 & 2 according to Construction Drawings. 2. Installation of ladders in Recarbonation Basins 1 & 2. 3. Modifications to guardrails round Recarbonation Basins 1 & 2. 4. All other work as required by the Drawings and Specifications. COMPLETION TIME: The project shall be substantially complete on October 16, 2023. Final completion shall be November 15, 2023. Question Deadline: Tue Nov 29, 2022 5:00 PM (CST) BID SECURITY: A certified check or cashier's check payable to the City of Bloomington, or satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and a licensed surety company must also accompany the Bid in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total Bid to be forfeited as liquidated damages in the event that the bid be accepted and the Bidder fail to enter into a written contract and furnish the required bond within ten (10) days after the award of the contract. All Bid Bonds should be sent to: Purchasing 1800 West Old Shakopee Road, Bloomington, MN 55431. Bid Bonds must be received within three business days of the published bid opening date. Bid Bonds received after the time will be returned unopened without being considered for award. Each Bid Bond submitted must be clearly identified on the outside of the sealed opaque envelope as "Bloomington Project No. 22-57, Recarbonation Tank Baffle Project BIDDER QUALIFICATIONS: The provisions of Minn. Stat. 16C.285, Responsible Contractor, are imposed as a requirement of this contract. All bidders and persons or companies providing a response/submission to the Advertisement for Bids of the City shall comply with the provisions of the statute. Per Minn. Stat. 326B.701, unless exempt, any Person, as defined by Minn. Stat. 181.723, subd. 1(a), who performs public or private construction services must register with the Department of Labor and Industry (DLI). Bidders must submit a copy of their Department of Labor and Industry (DLI) Building Construction Contractor Registration with the Bid.
