Description

The facility is located in Oakland County on approximately 5 acres. The City is interested in transferring/selling the Property, and having it developed for, as an example, retail, office, restaurant, residential, mixed use, and other uses. The City is seeking information regarding potential uses for the Property, in addition to the possible development of walking paths and preservation of existing trees as an element of a potential development. The Property is currently zoned M-1 Light Industrial, which currently permits retail uses that are compatible with adjacent commercial uses; however, the City is not opposed to considering certain zoning amendments to accommodate other potential uses, including a business or commercial use, or a mixed development use of the Property. Active Adult Center to the City Center Complex (which includes the City Hall and the Library) at 300 West 13 Mile Road, Madison Heights, Michigan. The relocation of the Active Adult Center will involve new construction of the facility with additional acceptable uses in addition to renovations to City Hall and the Library. Desired renovations to City Hall will increase building security and the safety of City employees, improve accessibility for residents, and better utilize the existing space. Desired renovations to the Library will expand the use of the space, and make the existing facility more user-friendly and inviting to visitors, including spaces to accommodate community events. The potential new construction and renovation project will be referenced as Project 2 with the following subparts: Project 2A refers to the Construction of the New Active Adult Center; Project 2B refers to the Renovation of City Hall; and Project 2C refers to Renovation of the Library.
