Description | **As of August 24, 2022, project is cancelled. No definite date for the rebid.** Project is located within the Town of Marion and generally described as new sidewalk, curb & gutter, storm drains and replacing existing crosswalk concrete ramps, pavement striping with new and related appurtenances. Bids must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to Owner in an amount of 5% of Bidder's Bid price and in the form of a certified or bank check or a Bid Bond. FEDERAL PROJ, Nos. M501-FTP-T501 (261) Upon request and receipt of the document deposit indicated plus a non-refundable shipping charge, the Issuing Office will transmit the Bidding Documents via delivery service. The shipping charge amount will depend on the shipping method selected by the prospective Bidder. The procedure for withdrawal of bid shall be according to the Virginia Public Procurement Act as amended. Any Bidder must give notice in writing of his claim of right to withdraw his Bid within two business days after the conclusion of the Bid Opening Procedure. If a Bid is withdrawn, the next higher bidder shall be deemed to be the Low Bidder. No Bid may be withdrawn unless said withdrawal is permitted by law. Withdrawal of a BID shall result in forfeiture of the Bidders Bid Bond. If the Bid is in the amount of $10,000 or more, the Bidder and its Subcontractors must comply with the provisions of Executive Orders 11246 and 11375, which prohibit discrimination in employment regarding race, creed, color, sex, or national origin. Bidders must comply with the Civil Rights Act of 1964. The Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject any and all BIDS if it appears in the Owner best interest to do so. |
