Description | Bids rejected due to cost, no timeline for if/when project will rebid. The work involves but is not limited to, interior renovations, including new partitions and finishes, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing upgrade areas, hazardous materials removals, windows, historic stonework, and awnings. The work shall be substantially completed by August 31, 2023, and is subject to prevailing New York State wage rates, as well as the requirements for an equal employment opportunity, all as described in the Contract Documents. Bids should exclude sales and compensating use taxes on materials incorporated into the work. A bid bond in the amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the Bid will be required with the submission of each bid. The successful bidders, to whom the contract is awarded, will be required to provide a payment and performance bond equal to the full amount of the Contract. Bids will be received on an itemized unit price basis. Bids actually received by mail or by hand after the appointed time on the date specified shall be rejected, notwithstanding that such Bid may have been placed in a mailbox or other mail receptacle regularly maintained by the United States Postal Services before such time, and ordinarily in sufficient time to have been delivered on time. Contract term: 6 months CR Number: 2096437 The work involves the demolition; including removal of interior wall, floor and ceiling finishes, partitions, doors, toilet fixtures, casework and exterior windows, and installing new of the same. Upgrades to the existing MEP systems that serve the areas being renovated. Hazardous materials removals are included in the work. Exterior upgrades include limestone repairs and awning fabric replacement. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents.
