Henry Park Horowitz Pool

For a general construction contract for the removal of the existing Horowitz Pool at Henry Park and construction of a new pool. A firm must have demonstrated experience in providing such services and adhere to all Local, State, and Federal standards and requirements typical for these services. Questions about this RFP should be directed to Marty Sitler, Director of Parks and Recreation Department, by email only to msitler@vernon-ct.gov, no later than Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at 3:30 PM. Answers to questions received will be posted by Monday, November 28, 2022. This project will include the removal and replacement of the existing pool structures to include the kiddie pool and multi-use pool while maintaining the same size and configuration. All work proposed by qualified firm must be complete to statutory code and meet or exceed industries standards. Line item descriptions on each component of the project with equipment and materials specifications must be submitted. Each firm shall prepare complete plans, specifications, and quote documents which include: All pipes and drain lines need to be tested and repaired or replaced as needed. Pump, Filter, Drainage, Sanitizing System to meet or exceed all standards, Concrete deck is to be maintain at current size and configuration, All existing fencing is to be inspected maintained and repaired or replaced, Inspect, repair or replace two (2) existing shade structures, The facility and grounds must be restored to opening conditions. Property will be turned back over to the Town with inspection from Health Department and certification of occupancy.
