Description | Project Description: This project consists of replacement of the existing PVC membrane roof over the administration office portion of the Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) with a new foam roof. Work shall be completed within 60 Days from the date when Contract Time commences to run. Bidders are solely responsible for the cost of preparing their Bids. If Contract Sum exceeds (or is expected to exceed) $25,000, Construction Performance Bond in form provided at Document 00 5205 Appendix D, fully executed by successful Bidder and surety, in the amount set forth therein. Submit one original. If Contract Sum exceeds (or is expected to exceed) $25,000, Construction Labor and Material Payment Bond in form provided at Document 00 5205 Appendix E, fully executed by successful Bidder and surety, in the amount set forth therein. Submit one original. Bidder must deposit the original of the bid bond, cashier's check, or certified check in the mail on the same day as the bid opening. The undersigned Bidder herewith encloses a legible photocopy of (i) a cashier's check or (ii) a certified check payable to Owner (certified without qualification and drawn on a solvent bank of the State of California or a National Bank doing business in the State of California), or (iii) a photocopy of a completed form of the Document 00 4315 (Bond Accompanying Bid), in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Total Bid Price and made payable to the SOUTH BAYSIDE WASTE MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY. Owner may retain Bid securities and Bid bonds of other than the Apparent Low Bidder for a period of 90 Days after award or full execution of the Contract, whichever first occurs. Reservation of Rights: Owner specifically reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reject any or all Bids, to re-bid, or to waive inconsequential defects in bidding not involving time, price or quality of the work. Owner may reject any and all Bids and waive any minor irregularities in the Bids Commencement Date will be issued such that the work will be completed prior to October 31, 2022 |
