Description

Project # 659-19-117 Tunnel Halls & Flooring (Various Buildings): Salisbury VAMC campus has multiple buildings connected by a ground floor tunnel/hallway system in varying stages of degradation. Sections are mismatched due to damage, past repairs and upgrades that have left uneven and worn floors and transitions, unsightly paint and marking schemes, and a general nondescript condition that cannot be corrected by routine maintenance. The intent of this comprehensive project is to replace the flooring and upgrade all finishes for a uniform, level, aesthetically pleasing and maintenance-friendly tunnel system for our patients and staff. The selected general contractor (GC) will provide all administration, supervision, labor, materials, tools and equipment, and perform all operations necessary to remove and replace the designated floors, transitions, handrails, wall guards, and cove base, and paint the hallways. Work will be performed according to project specifications and in accordance with current Salisbury VAMC construction policies, procedures and best practices.
