Description | SUMMARY: The City intends to award Job Order Contracts to up to three (3) Job Order Contractors. The Minimum Contract Value for each awarded Contract is $25,000. The awarded Job Order Contractorfe) are each guaranteed to receive the opportunity to perform Job Orders totaling at least $25,000 during the Base Term of their Contract. The maximum dollar amount for each Job Order is $500,000, excluding Washington state sales and use tax. Pursuant to RCW 39.10.440, the maximum allowable compensation under a Job Order Contract ("Maximum Contract Value") is $4,000,000 per year. The Base Term of the Contract is two years. The Contract may be extended for an additional 1 year upon agreement by both parties. REASONS FOR USING JOB OR DER CONTRACTING: The City has determined that the use of the Job Order Contracting program benefits the public by providing an effective means of reducing total leadtime, facilitating collaboration between the Job Order Contractor and design team, and reducing the cost of public works projects. The use of unit price books and job orders can eliminate time consuming, costly aspects of traditional public works processes. As a part of the Job Order Contracting program, the City is accepting proposals from experienced contractors. The City expects a collaborative process of project procurement that combines the commitment, expertise and skills of the City and the Job Order Contractors) to achieve the completion of projects in the best interest of the public.
