Description | Provide a complete construction package for the J.D. LEVER MULTIPURPOSE BUILDING at 2404 Columbia Hwy., North, Aiken, SC 29805. Work will include, but is not limited to, construction of a new 1-story 3,000sf masonry and steel truss facility, grading, erosion control, utility, drainage structures, utility piping, and site improvements as required per plans and specifications. QUESTIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY: FEBRUARY 7, 2024 All bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, in the amount of 5% of the base bid payable to Aiken County Public Schools Board of Trustees with Notarized Power of Attorney. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract sum with Notarized Power of Attorney. No Bid shall be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days subsequent to the opening of the bids without the consent of the owner. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Applicants must have a contractor license in the state of South Carolina, and must be qualified under the provisions of the contractor's licensing law "(South Carolina Code of Laws of 1976, Title 40, Chapter 11)". This project is covered under provisions of code of laws of South Carolina (1976) and as amended. Applicants may deliver their bids in-person or by mail. After delivery, the in-person bid opening will be limited to a maximum of 10 general contractors (this may be subject to change, Project Schedule Requirements: The Contractor shall provide a detailed Primavera Schedule within thirty (30) calendar days of contract award. The Contractor shall provide a Primavera Schedule that has incorporated all requirements of the specifications. Failure of the Contractor to meet the requirements of this specification shall result in the disapproval of the schedule. |
