Description | The City reserves the right to waive informalities not inconsistent with the law and to reject any or all bids. Removal of the following hazardous materials: Friable Asbestos Abatement and Demolition, Non-Friable Asbestos Abatement and Demolition, Refrigeration Units, Glycol Heating System, and Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCB) Abatement and Demolition. Non-Hazardous Materials Demolition consisting of removing the Polaris TOWER structure to the Polaris Tower, roof, walls, floor, miscellaneous construction materials such as metal studs, sheetrock, insulation, piping, etc., and miscellaneous hotel and restaurant equipment and material, etc., as shown in the plans and specifications. The project will consist of demolishing and removing the existing POLARIS TOWER building. Work includes but is not limited to: o Removal of the following hazardous materials: Friable Asbestos Abatement and Demolition, Non-Friable Asbestos Abatement and Demolition, Refrigeration Units, Glycol Heating System, and Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCB) Abatement and Demolition o Non-Hazardous Materials Demolition consisting of removing the Polaris TOWER structure to the Polaris Tower, roof, walls, floor, miscellaneous construction materials such as metal studs, sheetrock, insulation, piping, etc., and miscellaneous hotel and restaurant equipment and material, etc., as shown in the plans and specifications. o Basement wall reinforcement and backfill as shown in the plans and specifications. Shoring as needed to fill the demolition pit with borrow to ground level, compacted to 95%. o Cap entire area with 4-inches of RAP (recycled asphalt pavement) and grade from east side of TOWER lot to Lacey St./1 st Ave top back of sidewalk at 1%. o Flashing, HBHs and jersey barriers as shown in the plans and specifications. o Provide traffic control and site security for the duration of the project. o Coordination with business owners in the vicinity impacted by this project. |
