Description

The project involves restoring the original roof line of the B & O Station, reroofing the building in slate with assorted metal cresting, and installing new and strengthening existing structural members. Key components of this project include: 1. Removing existing non-historic north dormer and re-establishing historic roof line, 2. Extending projecting south eave to historic dimension, 3. Removing existing slate roof and storing pieces that can be reinstalled, 4. Removing existing metal cresting, 5. Installing new and strengthening existing structural members, 6. Installing new roof subsurface as required, 7. Installing salvaged and new slate to match, and 8. Installing new metal cresting to match.
