Description

2023 Wastewater Facilities Upgrade The WWTF Upgrades will be constructed under a single construction contract. The construction contract will be awarded based on Base Bid with Bid Package 1 but will also include a Bid Alternate for Bid Package 2 for the Owner's consideration. Base Bid - Bid Package 1 The Bid Package 1 base bid WWTF Upgrade project includes conversion of the existing wet weather pump station to an Influent Pump Station, new Headworks facility including screenings and grit removal and separate electrical room, new Vehicle Storage building with vestibule to connect to existing Building 1, and a new emergency generator. The project includes demolition of the existing screw pump station and screening equipment located in Building 1 along with other miscellaneous items. Project will also include yard piping, rerouting the Hanover sewer to accommodate the new Vehicle Storage building, site removals, access roads/surfacing, grading, drainage, yard structures, erosion control, landscaping, fencing, electrical, controls, plumbing, HVAC, and upgrades to accommodate the new and upgraded facilities. Bid Alternate - Bid Package 2 The Bid Package 2 alternate bid WWTF Upgrade project includes a new solids Dewatering building with sludge holding tank, screw press, polymer feed, new covered storage area for dried sludge, and upgrades to two aerobic digester pump stations. The project includes demolition of existing drying bed walls and piping, along with other miscellaneous items. Project will also include yard piping, site removals, access roads/surfacing, grading, drainage, stormwater pond, yard structures, erosion control, landscaping, fencing, electrical, controls, plumbing, HVAC, and upgrades to accommodate the new and upgraded facilities.
