Description

*As of July 25, 2023, construction is currently underway and all trades are let. A new 5 story apartment building for 55+ in Hickory, North Carolina. The project is approximately 181,000 SQFT of type I-B Construction. The first story is parking for the complex with 4 stories of units above. The major building assemblies include but are not limited to; deep pile foundation system, concrete slab on grade, structural steel, composite decking, concrete slab on deck, wood framing with brick and fiber cement veneer, a single ply membrane roof, aluminum canopies, drywall, door frames and hardware, aluminum storefront, gypsum board ceilings, interior casework, interior finishes, plumbing systems, electric systems, and mechanical systems. There is also a renovation of an existing building onside called the “Mull Building”. This building will be where most of the amenities for the apartment building will be located. The site work consists of demo of an existing parking lot, new site utilizes, paving, landscaping and fencing.
