Description | The City of Champaign is accepting bids for Full Service, Maintenance, and Repair for City Facility Elevators. The City of Champaign is seeking bids for a service contract to provide maintenance and repair services for the elevators and associated equipment located at selected City properties. Elevator locations include the Champaign City Building, Main Fire Station, Fire Station Substation #6, Champaign Police Facility, and the Hill Street Parking Deck. A workforce participation goal of 20% MBE and 15% WBE. Workforce participation goals refer to the percentage of minority and female individuals employed on a project. For a comprehensive list of property locations and equipment covered, see Subsection 1 below. The current contract is scheduled to expire June 30, 2022. The City intends to establish a one-year agreement (with the City's option to extend the agreement for four consecutive, one-year option years). The contract term for this agreement is expected to begin on July 1, 2022 and continue through June 30, 2023. If the City was to exercise its option to extend the agreement, the contract would be renewed and the services would continue from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024, with each option year thereafter occurring for one-year periods (see Section 3 Bid Form, Section II, for exact dates). It is required for Contractors to include option year pricing with their bid submission to be considered a responsive bidder for this contract. It is at the City's sole discretion to exercise these option years. Property Locations and Covered Equipment Champaign City Building (CB) - 102 N. By submission of the bid, the Bidder acknowledges the impracticability of calculating the actual damages which would be suffered by the City and agrees that the sum posted represents reasonable liquidated damages. The City of Champaign reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive any formality or technicality in the bids, or to extend any of the time limits set forth herein as the City, in its sole discretion, deems necessary. The City reserves the right to waive technicalities or to accept or reject any Bid or combination of Bids based upon the City's determination of its best interest. |
