| Description | The curtainwall on the South-West elevation of the 1977 addition of Nelson Hall is experiencing water infiltration and glazing unit seal failures. The project scope will include repairing framing systems and providing new glazing units for approximately 1,720 sf of curtainwall. The project will not include repairing the curtainwall of the South vestibule as this area will be reconfigured when the Armstrong Hall building is demolished. The design team shall assist the owner in evaluating potential window repair solutions for this section of curtainwall. The intent is not to replace the curtainwall framing members but rather modifying, the Solutions will include but not be limited to the FreMarq retrofit system. The design firm will prepare bidding documents, and provide bidding, construction administration and closeout services The project will be constructed in one phase. The Owner intends to use the Design/Bid/Build delivery method for this project. |
