South Stair Replacement, Fireman`S Park Pavilion

Contractor shall field survey the South set of main entry stairs to note and measure existing conditions. Contractor shall prepare scaled drawings, plans and specifications for submittal to the City of Columbus Recreation and / or the Public Works Departments. Contractor shall be responsible to ensure drawings, plans and specifications meet all Federal, State and Local codes. Existing floating concrete footings shall be replaced with new permanent footings that meet code for the type and size of stair being replaced. Existing broken concrete sidewalk shall be replaced with new. Contractor responsible for demolition of old stairs, broken concrete sidewalk, and existing floating concrete footings and disposal of all related materials. All existing stair wood material shall be replaced with ground contact pressure treated lumber. Exterior rated hardware shall be used in all cases. State of WI Historical Society may require existing center handrails to remain. If so, existing pipe shall be removed of paint (chemical remover, sandblast, etc.). Pipe shall be coated with exterior rated primer and two finish coats of exterior based epoxy paint.
