The City is soliciting competitive bids from qualified contractors to furnish labor, equipment and materials for services including, but not limited to, roof replacement at: Fire Station #73, 419 South Franklin Street, Santa Ana, CA 92703. Remove existing roofing to expose deck, remove damaged roof deck, furnish and install new roofing material and deck at Fire Station #73 per attached Exhibit A. Bid Valid Minimum 90 Days Liquidated Damages $500 per day The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality in any bid.Project Duration 30 Working Days Question Deadline 11/10/2022 at 2:00 PM PT Provide all labor and materials to install new roofing with new asphalt shingles on entire Fire Station #73 1. Remove existing roofing system including, but not limited to: roofing, underlayment, skylights, flashings, metal trim, gutters, vents, and downspouts. 2. Install one layer of self-adhering HPR SA Base Sheet underlayment over entire deck surface. 3. Install an extra layer of R-Mer Seal self-adhering underlayment over the top of HPR SA Base Sheet. 4. Install an extra layer of self-adhering R-Mer Seal underlayment at all transitions, valleys, curbs, and penetrations. 5. Replace existing skylights with new double dome skylights, outer lenses to be opaque. Flash in per NRCA guidelines using 22 ga Kynar coated metal with cricket on top slope side of curb, step flashings on side, and apron on bottom edge. Install tapered insulation board underneath metal cricket. 6. Install all new 3" edge metal using 22 ga Kynar coated metal with a 24 ga continuous cleat on entire perimeter. 7. Install new 24 ga, 5" wide seamless gutters with "K" style profile, sloped 1/4 :12 to downspouts. 8. Install new downspouts to replace existing. Downspouts are to be 16ga 4"x3" rectangle, fully welded, with a mouse hole at the bottom so that there is no trip hazard. Downspouts to be dipped galvanized after welding is completed and then primed and painted to match building. Attach to building per SMACNA requirements with heavy gauge hangers. 9. Install new 22 ga Kynar coated metal in all valleys. Valleys to be held in place with cleats. 10. Install new fully soldered 22ga T-Top vents with enclosed ends to replace all existing, paint to match. 11. Install new 40-year dimensional asphalt shingles per NRCA guidelines. 12. All pipe penetrations to be sealed with 4lb lead jacks. Caulk and clamp top of jack. Paint pipe and lead jack to match shingles. |
