Description

Work will consist of installing 65 linear feet of 13’x7’ reinforced concrete box culvert (RCBC) passing under South McCoy Road approximately 200 feet north of the intersection with Old Wilkesboro Drive. The existing 59 linear feet of 48-inch diameter corrugated metal pipe culvert with no headwalls will be removed. In addition to installing the proposed RCBC, the work will include installation of poured in place concrete headwalls, grading, a boulder sill in the channel, a concrete-lined swale, a grass-lined swale, and rip-raplined plunge pool and slopes. The culvert replacement will require stream by-pass pumping, stream bank stabilization, erosion control, roadway reconstruction, asphalt paving and minor utility relocations
