Description | Demolish 36 long 30 diameter metal culvert pipe and replace it with a 24 long 10x4 concrete box culvert This project consists of the Contractor providing all labor, equipment, materials, supplies, insurance, etc., necessary to demolish 36 long 30 diameter metal culvert pipe and replace it with a 24 long 10x4 concrete box culvert at the Fair Hill Natural Resource Management Area at 300 Tawes Dr., Elkton, Cecil County, MD 21921. All Minority Business Enterprises are encouraged to respond to this solicitation. This solicitation is for Small Business Reserve only. After opening bids, the Procurement Officer may request bidders to extend the time during which the State may accept their bids, provided that, with regard to bids, no other change is permitted. The work shall be completed within 60 calendar days from the start date of the contract. If the work is not completed within the time period specified, the contractor will be liable for liquated damages of $250 per calendar day as specified in the General Conditions. When the sum of the total bid amount plus all add alternates, but excluding all deduct alternates, is in excess of $100,000, a bidder must furnish, prior to the bid due date, a bid bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid amount plus all add alternates, but excluding all deduct alternates.
