Description

As of November 11, 2022, project was awarded to Olco, Inc, awarded amount is $271,806.80. The Dearborn County Board of Commissioners will receive bids for the replacement of Dearborn County Small Structure No. 628 on Whites Hill Road an Unnamed Tributary of the Whitewater River, associated approach roadway paving, and all other necessary items in Dearborn County, Indiana, all in accordance with the Contract Documents and Specifications. The work includes existing structure removal, installation of new drainage structure, minor roadway approach rehabilitation, and other items. Contract Documents are on file and may be examined at the Dearborn County Engineer s Office, 165 Mary ' Street, Lawrenceburg, Indiana 47025. Bids shall be properly and completely executed on the Proposal Form and Indiana State Board of Account Form 96 provided in the Contract Documents. Each bid shall be accompanied by a cashier's or certified check, drawn on an acceptable bank, or an acceptable bid bond, executed by the bidder and a Surety Company, in the amount equal to of the total amount of the bid, payable to Dearborn County, Indiana. The bidder to whom a contract for work is awarded will be required to furnish a Performance, Maintenance and Payment Bond executed on the specified forms acceptable to the County which shall be in full force and effective for 12 months from date of acceptance of work. The Bidder must be a prequalified Contractor with the Indiana Department of Transportation in the following worktypes: C(b) Light Grading E(e) Small Structures, Culverts, and Drainage Items The Bidder must have a Certificate of existence from the Indiana Secretary of State. The Bidder must supply all the information required by the bid proposal form. Liquidated damages for delay and retainage will be as provided in the special provisions of the Contract Documents. Partial payment will be made monthly based on an approved payment requisition. The Contractor and all subcontractors will be required to comply with required Federal and State labor regulations including Equal Employment Opportunity, Non-segregated Facilities, and Affirmative Action requirements. The Board of Commissioners reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals or parts thereof and to waive all responsibility for irregularities in bids. Bids may be held by the County for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the opening of the bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and the investigation of the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract. It is anticipated, however, that the contract will be awarded on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at the regularly scheduled Dearborn County Board of Commissioner's meeting.
