Boronda Road Congestion Relief - 9510 - City of Salinas

Construct roundabouts at McKinnon, El Dorado, Natividad, and Independence Blvd. Construct 2 additional lanes; bike lanes; median island; overlay or rehab of existing lanes; landscape and irrigation; farmers ditch, signing and striping; NPDES features from Dartmouth Way to East of Independence, including widening of existing bridge over Gabilan Creek. Project is included in the City of Salinas's FY 2023 - 2028 CIP. Per the owner, as of July 19, 2023, a design team has been selected. The owner states that the project is anticipated to advertise later in 2023 and construction is anticipated to begin in the spring of 2024. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The content management team will continue to pursue additional details as they become available.
