Description

The project will include installation of a traffic signal at the Odum Road and Lake Street intersection in Gardendale, Alabama. Installation of the traffic signal will include, but is not limited to, fiber optic connection to the existing 8-phase signal controller and cabinet at Odum Road & Flippo Parkway, unloading and installation of owner purchased concrete traffic signal poles, video detection system, LED signal heads, power source for controller and street lights with disconnect, installation of owner provided luminaire arms and luminaires, span wire signal head mounting, signs, and miscellaneous conduit, wiring, etc. to ensure a complete and operational signal installation. The project will also include some striping removal, modifications to existing intersection striping and installation of new striping to support the operation of the signalized intersections as defined on the plans.The Lake Street intersection will operate as an offset signalized intersection with the Flippo Parkway leg of the intersection at Odum Road.
